Golden Card Competition Terms & Conditions

An Eligible Customer is a customer of Railway Furnishers (Pty) Ltd who has made a purchase, whether for cash or on credit, during the Competition Period for a Final Consideration of R6 999.00 (Six Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Nine Rand) or more, and whose account is in good standing and up to date.

Only the designated account holder will be an Eligible Customer.

Directors (and their immediate family members), employees, members, partners, agents of, and consultants to, Railway Furnishers (Pty) Ltd are not Eligible Customers.

Lay-Bye purchasers are not Eligible Customers.

Customers who request delivery delays will not be Eligible Customers if the requested delivery date is after 30 May 2025.

Where a sale is cancelled for any reason whatsoever, the Eligible Customer’s entry is forfeited.

The Competition Period is 24 March 2025 to 18 May 2025, both dates inclusive.

Eligible Customers will receive a delivery of their purchase together with a sealed pack of playing cards which are branded “RAILWAY FURNISHERS”.

There are 11 (eleven) packs of playing cards which contain a Golden Card.

An Eligible Customer who receives a Golden Card will win one of 11 available Prizes referred to in “Prize Details” below at the Final Draw.

The Prizes available are as follows:

5 Prizes of R10 000.00 (Ten Thousand Rand) each;

5 Prizes of R20 000.00 (Twenty Thousand Rand) each;

1 Prize of R100 000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Rand).

The Prizes are non-transferable.

The Prizes will be paid into the verified bank account of the Golden Card holder within 3 (three) working days of the Final Draw by way of electronic funds transfer (EFT).

Eligible Customers who have found a Golden Card will need to attend at their nearest Railway Furnishers branch to verify their Golden Card to participate in the Final Draw.

The Final Draw will take place on 13 June 2025 at 12h00 at 387 Maltzan Street Pretoria West.

The Final Draw will be attended and audited by PKF Octagon Chartered Accountants Johannesburg.

The Golden Card holders may choose to attend physically at the Final Draw or participate by Microsoft Teams at either their nearest Railway Furnishers branch or at home.

Golden Card holders who choose to attend physically at the Final Draw will be responsible for their own travel expenses.

Golden Card holders may be requested to permit their name, photograph and/or video to be used for publicity purposes for Railway Furnishers (Pty) Ltd related to this competition. This is not a requirement and is at the total discretion of the Golden Card holder.

Railway Furnishers (Pty) Ltd reserve the right to disqualify any Eligible Customer found to be tampering with the entry process or violating these rules.

Personal data collected during this competition will be used solely for the purpose of this competition and will be handled according to Railway Furnishers (Pty) Ltd’s Privacy Policy.

This competition is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

In particular, the following Acts have been complied with:

National Gambling Act 7 of 2004;

Lotteries Act 57 of 1997;

Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
